2012 Tokyo Fashion Festival

The 2012 Design Festa at Tokyo Big Sight attracted around 10,000 artists (including performance artists). It's an open exhibit (as long as your art's original). It's a great place to find Japan's up and coming artists dressed in their best. 

The nerd girl look finally made its way to Japan this year from Asia. This look has been big in Hong Kong for years. In Japan, girls wear glasses that have no glass in them. In Hong Kong, girls wear glasses with non-prescription (regular) glass.

They're required to wear the shop's fashions — out of their own pocket (at a discount). It's a surprisingly challenging career.
